What’s your favorite way to start the day?

What is the last book you couldn’t put down?

The last book that I couldn’t put down was “Educated: A Memoir” by Tara Westover. This book showed how one abused and neglected girl found education as a way to a better life.

What is one small thing that makes your day better?

A kiss or hug from my husband.

What was your first job?

My first job was a cashier at a grocery store at the age of 16. The best thing about that job was it allowed me some independence because I had my own money. The worst thing about it was it interfered with my free time.

What hobby would you dive into if time and money weren’t an issue?

Rare wine collecting

What is your most prized possession?

My college diploma because I worked extremely hard for it.

Do you have a role model? Who and what have you learned from them?

My role model was my educational mentor. She taught me that students have to trust and respect you before they will learn from you. Relationships are everything!

Do you have a favorite place to spend time off?

With my husband in the mountains!

What is your superpower?

As a previous educator, my students would say my “STARE”!

What’s the best piece of advice you ever received?

A principal once told me that the worst hit you will ever take is the one you don’t see coming.

What's one thing about you that few people know?

Well, I can’t tell you because then you’d know. LOL!

It’s karaoke night. What song will you sing?

“Baby Got Back” by Sir Mix-a-Lot … and I would do it just like Cameron Diaz in “Charlie’s Angels.” If you know, you know!
