On May 14, Pamplin International Programs hosted a graduation ceremony for students from the 3+1+1 NMIMS program — an academic partnership between NMIMS University in Mumbai and Virginia Tech.

Students spent three years studying at NMIMS in Mumbai before completing their final undergraduate year at Virginia Tech. The ceremony marked not only their graduation from Virginia Tech but also celebrated their academic journey and accomplishments at NMIMS.

The evening was led by Associate Dean Michelle Seref, Director of International Programs Jennifer Clevenger, and Global Mentor Program Coordinator Alessandra Rosetti. Each graduate received a special graduation cord — a symbolic piece made of two cords, joined in the colors of NMIMS and Virginia Tech — representing the connection and shared values between the two institutions.

Adding to the celebration, many students wore traditional Indian clothing, bringing vibrant color, cultural pride, and a personal touch to the ceremony. Surrounded by cheering family, friends, and faculty, the graduates enjoyed an evening of joy, reflection, and inspiration.

Congratulations to the NMIMS Class of 2025 —graduates of both NMIMS University and Virginia Tech. We look forward to welcoming you back next year as you return to pursue your master’s degrees.
