The Lifelong Learning Institute of Virginia Tech celebrated its dedicated volunteers at a reception marking the conclusion of the program's 10th year.

Volunteers who work tirelessly to monitor classes, plan events, teach courses, and more gathered to socialize and enjoy refreshments.

Jesi Pace Berkley, a local artist and longtime watercolors instructor, was honored with one of five Niles Awards given to outstanding instructors. The other honorees — Richard Gilbert, Dean Spader, Randall Horst, and Jack Call — were recognized at a previous event.
