Women, War & Peace
The Center for Student Engagement and Community Partnerships partnered with Blue Ridge PBS to hold the event Voices Beyond Borders in October. The event featured a screening of the film series Women, War & Peace along with a panel of activists, academics, and survivors of war. More than 100 students, faculty, and community members attended the two-hour event. The powerful stories prompted several participants to consider programming that will complement the center's Coalition for Refugee Resettlement outreach.
